Celebrating 600 years of educational excellence
Welcome to our 600th birthday events website, you will see we have an exciting programme arranged to celebrate our sexcentenary.
For those unfamiliar with the School’s heritage, it was founded in 1407 by David Holbache and was originally sited in the building currently known as the Oswestry Visitor and Exhibition Centre (formerly the Heritage Centre) in the grounds of St Oswald’s King and Martyr parish church and has recently been taken back into the School’s ownership.
Not all the details of the events have been finalised and others will, no doubt, be programmed in. To keep up to date with all that is happening I would urge you to visit this site, or keep as your homepage, as it will regularly be updated.
I trust you will join with us in making the most of what I am sure you will agree is a remarkable achievement in the life of any institution. This promises to be an exceptional year in the history of our School.
Happy birthday Oswestry School !Floreat Oswestria!
